Program Overview
Are you interested in plants, how they grow, and how we use them? Do you have a green thumb, or wish you did? Then the Plant Science Technology program is for you! This Technical Diploma program takes an entrepreneurial approach to agriculture, stressing a combination of practical skills and good basic knowledge. During the program you’ll be schooled in problem solving, diagnostics and whole-system analysis. You learn in the context of social and environmental responsibility, using sustainable production systems.
So of course, it’s important to have theoretical knowledge about plants, but it’s the practical skills you learn during hands-on experiences that will set you apart from everyone else out there in the job market! Learn with your hands through labs, experiments, and growth trials. Find out first-hand how environmental factors affect the growth of plants. Learn to propagate plants. Learn from the soil up what makes plants grow, how we can control and improve their growth and how we can grow plant dependent businesses.
The greatest thing about this program is its flexibility. Get the diploma you really want by selecting the courses you really love. Choose from a wide variety of courses in Horticulture, Agronomy, Business, Environment, even Engineering.
