Brian Crouse -Manager of Recruitment
Brian is an NSAC and University of Guelph grad and has been on staff at NSAC for over 20 years and is serving as Director of Enrollment Management.

Brian's hobbies include attending dressage horse shows to watch his daughter, now attending NSAC as an Animal Science student, ride and keeping in touch with his son, now a second year student at Mount Allison University. Prospective students and their families are encouraged to contact him with any questions particularly scholarship or career related.

Janet Walker - Student Recruitment Officer

Janet was born and raised on a dairy farm in Sussex, NB.  She started at NSAC in the fall of 2004 and graduated in 2007 with a BSc.(Agr.) with a major in Animal Science and a minor in Agricultural Business.  While a student at NSAC she was President of Students’ Union, Captain of Women’s A Woodsmen Team, member of judging team, and worked on campus throughout the summers.   

After graduating from NSAC, Janet continued her studies at St. Thomas University receiving her BEd(Elem French) in July 2008.  Since then she has been travelling the country and supply teaching until taking this recruitment position in January.

Janet’s interest include supporting varsity athletics, competing in lumberjack competitions, travelling, backpacking, snowboarding and spending time with friends and family.

Ashley Shepard- Student Recruitment Officer

Ashley is from Bedford, Nova Scotia, graduating from Charles P. Allen High School in 2002.  She is a graduate with a B.Sc., majoring in Animal Science and currently working towards her Masters in Higher Education.  She is a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters and Therapeutic Paws of Canada with her Border Collie, Luka. 

In her spare time, Ashley enjoys kickboxing, running, horseback riding, and travelling. 

Ashley will be visiting Atlantic schools this fall!

Mandy McDonald - Student Recruitment Officer

Mandy grew up on a dairy farm in Milford Station, Nova Scotia.  Growing up she was an active member of 4-H and various elite volleyball teams.

 She began her post-secondary education in 2006 and graduated from NSAC in 2010 with a B.Sc. (Agr.) majoring in Environmental Sciences with a minor in Animal Science. Mandy’s favorite memories  at  NSAC were playing on the women’s volleyball team, hanging out with friends and learning more about her passion, agriculture.  Aside from athletics, Mandy participated in many events, activities and committees on campus.  Mandy has worked on campus over the last 4 years, gaining a variety of experience in different departments.  Mandy is still involved with the volleyball team acting as trainer alongside her two younger sisters who are current members of the team. 

In Mandy’s spare time - she enjoys playing the fiddle, spending time with family and friends, going to country concerts and playing indoor/beach volleyball.
