Master of Science (M.Sc.) Aquaculture Program

The 2-year M.Sc. program is affiliated with Dalhousie University , a major centre for research and innovation in Atlantic Canada, allowing students to get the best from both institutions. Our excellent wet lab enables graduate students to advance knowledge of a wide array of species in fields ranging from fish nutrition to estuarine ecology. Check out the MSc theses.
The student track-record is good. The Governor General’s gold medal was awarded to MSc students Cynthia White and Gaye MacDonald. At the annual Atlantic Universities Aquaculture Conference, Adam Cook and Troy Lyons have won the top prize.
Graduate students receive personal guidance from both Faculty at NSAC, and scientists from other institutions serving as Adjunct Professors. Our team, from around the World, has the global perspective needed for sustainable aquaculture expansion in the 21st Century.
