2010 Career Fair

With Career Fair next week, we are asking faculty and staff to support the students by attending the event. Many exhibitors who attend Career Fair are NSAC alumni and would love the opportunity to have a chat with a previous prof. or TA. So, we are always eager to have faculty and staff be present during the day. Your attendance would be noticed and appreciated!!
In addition, any efforts you make to encourage your students to attend would also show your support for university events. We have a slide we would love to have you include in your lectures, or even bring a lab group over that afternoon for a visit.
Career Fair is open Wednesday, Jan.13 from 1 p.m - 6 p.m., and we will be giving away ipods as door prizes every hour. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
For more information visit nsac.ca/careerfair or contact Rebecca at rveenhuis@nsac.ca

REB Volunteer Retirement

Joan Gibson (pictured left) is one of several individuals (non-staff) who volunteer uncountable hours to serve on the NSAC Research Ethics Board (REB). During the REB’s monthly meeting on Dec.18, Dr. Richard Donald, VP Research, Extension and Outreach, was in attendance to acknowledge NSAC’s appreciation to Joan, who was stepping down after several years serving on the REB. Dr. Donald noted that NSAC has a mandate to serve the community, and that we are especially grateful when community members, like Joan, reach out to support the university’s work.
