Information for Students
Off-campus access to electronic resources
The majority of the library's web-based resources including
databases, electronic journal collections and e-books are
searchable from off-campus.
If you're off campus, you'll be prompted for your NSAC
network username and password. You should access these resources
from the library website when at home, otherwise you will
not be prompted for your login and not get full access.
Students
Username: last name, first name initial
(ex. smithj)
Password: Minimum of 6 alphanumeric (A-Z,
0-9).*
Note: You will be prompted to
change your password the first time you login the network
on campus. You should be aware every 60 days you will have
to change your password (you will have to login to a computer
on campus to do so).
This is for security purposes and is necessary as your
password will expire and deny you access to your account
if you don't change the password.
Contact the IT Helpdesk
if you are having problems with your network password.
Your Library Account
In order to sign out books or other items that can circulate,
all patrons need a barcode number. Your barcode number will
be provided on your first visit to the Library. Staff may
refuse borrowing privileges to any person who does not have
his or her student ID for the current year.
In addition, cards expire September 30 of each year and
must be updated annually. Students may borrow at other Novanet
Libraries with their bar coded ID card.
Your library barcode allows you to sign out books and other
materials that circulate, request interlibrary loans and
Novanet express items.
For your own security it is forbidden to loan your barcoded
student ID to any other person. Problems, including fines
or any other chanrges arising from violation of this rule
are the responsibility of the owner of the ID card.
