Oral Presentations
Each oral presentation will be 20 minutes in length (to include
at least 3 minutes of questions and discussion). Computer projection
will be available. Presentations must be prepared in Microsoft
PowerPoint and saved to a CD or a flash drive.
Poster Presentations
Authors will be notified of their assigned poster session
time and will be expected to stand by their posters during
this time. The size of the posters must be no larger than 120
cm width X 120 cm height (4 feet X 4 feet). Posters must be set-up
before 10 am on August 6 and remain up for the duration of the
conference. Posters can be mailed to the Organizing Chair of
the Conference but must be received in advance of the conference.
Mailed posters will be available for pick-up by the author at
the registration desk.
Workshop presentations
Each workshop will be 1 hour or 2 hours in length. Workshops are a good venue
for going into more depth on a subject, or for demonstration and practice of
new skills, or for panel presentations and extended discussion. Computer projection
will be available. Presentations must be prepared in Microsoft PowerPoint and
saved to a CD or a flash drive.
Manuscripts
The authors of all oral and poster papers are
expected to submit a manuscript (8 page maximum). Invited papers
must
submit a manuscript (16 page limit).
Please follow the Acta Horticulturae guidelines which can be found at the ISHS website when preparing manuscripts. The manuscript must be in sufficiently written English to be adequately reviewed by the reviewers, if not, it will be returned to the author without review.
Please use Microsoft Word when preparing manuscripts. The
deadline for submission of completed papers is August
9, 2010. Please send an electronic copy by email
as an attached file to the Organizing Chair of the Symposium.
