Is this program for you?

Are you interested in horses? Do you eventually want to have your own equine business? This two year diploma program is designed for students who are interested in obtaining a business background and combining it with their passion for horses.

What are our graduates doing?

This diploma program has been graduating students every year since 2008. We are very proud of our graduates. They have taken many career paths as they work towards their goals.

There are graduates working in sales positions including in major Agricultural companies, working for Community Business Development Corporation, youth inclusion programs, and managing stables both full time and part time.  

Some of our graduates have found an excellent fit in combing their equine business education with further studies in massage therapy, farrier training, early childhood education ( for equine therapy) , and human resource management.

A few of our graduates have chosen to go onto further education here at nsac taking B.Sc. degrees in Agricultural Business, Animal Science, or Environmental Science.

One graduate, after completing the B.Sc. (Agr) Animal Science is in PEI at the Atlantic Veterinary College, while another student has chosen to enroll in the Veterinary Technology program at nsac.

Nearly all our graduates have made horses an integral part of their career. It is our hope that their education in equine care and safety will help others in improving the lives of horses.
