Although the equine industry in the Atlantic region does not offer very many opportunities for employment, the horse industry in all forms from pleasure to racing has been growing rapidly in the Atlantic Region. The latest trends include: subdivisions for horse lovers, dude ranches, to racinos. A Maritime Feed company has added a equine specialist to its roster. This program is designed for students who are interested in obtaining a business background and combining it with their passion for horses.

'Students will be expected to be experienced in equine handling and care. NSAC will not be teaching riding or handling.
