Using an Integrated Pest Management
approach, this training session for landscapers will focus on
sustainable landscape practices, the elements of an integrated
weed management approach, pesticide safety practices, pesticide
performance and water quality, new products and technologies.
Eligible course participants will be awarded 5 re-certification
points in the Nova Scotia Pesticide Re-certification Program.

Instructor
Dr. Glen Sampson is recently retired from NSAC where he taught topics in weed and pest management. He conducts research on weed control, including strategies to reduce pesticide use. His research program included biological controls for perennial weeds, control of weeds in blueberry fields and topics in integrated weed management. He continues to deliver presentations on pest management issues across Canada.
