Atlantic Centre for Agri-Business
The Atlantic Centre for Agri-Business (ACAB) was founded in
1996 to provide a focus for the agri-business services offered
by the Nova Scotia Agricultural College. For over ninety years
the College has played a leading role in providing education,
training, research and public service in the agricultural and
food industries and related disciplines. Today, College staff
are active in projects in Canada, Latin America, Europe and
Asia- Pacific and our expertise has extended to such non-traditional
areas as aquaculture, environmental studies and bio-technology.
The Centre operates from offices located on the NSAC campus
and has full access to world class facilities supporting research
for the agri-products industry.
Services
The Centre targets its services to clients in private industry
and the public sector. Our main products are:
- consultancy
- customized training
- applied research
The Centre offers a complete service from project design through
implementation. Services are delivered by Associates of the Centre
who are drawn from the private sector and the NSAC faculty. The
Centre guarantees the quality of all projects.
Areas of Expertise
The ACAB offers consulting, training and research services
through its Associates Program. ACAB Associates are highly qualified
individuals with extensive experience in the agri-food industry.
We can put together a team to meet your needs in a wide variety
of agri-business and agricultural economics specialties. Our
current roster of associates has expertise in the following
