The Nova Scotia Agricultural College (NSAC) with the able assistance of the Atlantic Poultry Research Institute (APRI), is undertaking an initiative to construct new facilities to provide the infrastructure to house poultry research. The funds for this $9.1 million project requires support.
On January 30th, 2002 the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) announced that the Nova Scotia Agricultural College (NSAC) will be awarded up to a maximum of $2.1 million towards the development of the Atlantic Canadian Centre for Poultry Research.
The goal of CFI is to strengthen the capability of Canadian universities to carry out world-class research and technology development. Successful applicants to the Innovation Fund are provided up to 40% of the cost of the project with the remaining 60% to be acquired from other sources.
