So Many Alumni Connections!
International Food Business "Kick-Off" BBQ

The Department of Business & Social Sciences recently hosted an International Food Business "Kick-Off" BBQ for the students who will begin this new program in September. With parents and supporters also invited to the event, many NSAC alumni connections were realized.

Four of the students coming to NSAC this fall, to study the new program, identified alumni connections. Pictured below with Heather-Anne Grant (Class of '98), Program Co-ordinator are left to right: John Sipos (Class of '85), daughter Susan Sipos, Maitland, NS, Emma Eisses, Debert, NS, whose uncle studied at NSAC, Jeanette van der Linden, Brierly Brook, NS, whose father, Harry, graduated in '76, uncles William in '80 and John in '87 and brother Jason in '06, Katherine Johnstone, Blues Mills, NS, and brother Jamie Johnstone (Class of '98 & '01).

The event provided an opportunity for students to meet each other and learn about the details of their upcoming trip to Iceland.The trip will bring the students in this innovative business program from NSAC and Dronten University of Applied Science of the Netherlands together at the end of August (prior to the start of the school year).
