items and for many, a link to our alumni website for more detailed

News & Events
Upcoming Alumni Gatherings
Open House
 |
There will be a “mini” summer homecoming held
on Thursday, July 24 to coincide with NSAC’s annual Open
House 10 am -2 pm.. During Open House, Alumni will have the
opportunity to tour campus, visit with faculty and staff and
enjoy the grounds. |
On Thursday evening July 24, there will be
a dinner held for alumni and NSAC staff and faculty in Jenkins
Hall beginning at 6:30 pm.
It will be an exciting evening of entertainment and
a chance to catch up with friends old and new. Please mark your
calendar and plan to attend Open House and the evening event. We’re
hoping it will be the highlight of your summer.
Class Reunions
The classes of ‘53, ‘58 and ‘59 have been in touch
with the alumni office and are planning reunions during the third
week of July. The class of ’56 is having their reunion the
week after. If your class is planning a get together or if you have
any questions about these reunions please email and let us know.
NSAC Governance Update
 |
We have some good news to share. Bill 107, known as the Nova
Scotia Agricultural College Act, was passed during the final
days of the spring session of the Legislature. This is the first
and largest step in NSAC moving to a self-governance model.

Microfactory Open House
| The Portable Modular Microfactory was the star
of the show Friday, June 6 at AgriTech Park. Invited guests
were given a glimpse of the prototype which is to be used for
the extraction of high value bioactives and nutraceuticals.

convocation on Friday, May 2. Dr. Harold Cook, Dean of Medicine
Dalhousie University and NSAC (Class of ’66) gave an inspiring

such as the time it takes to use certain nutrients. NSAC graduate

The June 30 deadline for registering your
team for the Agri-Golf Classic is fast approaching. The Agri-Golf
Classic is held this year in the beautiful Glasgow Hills Resort
and Golf Club on Friday, July 25. 22 teams have signed up
