Blue and Gold Awards Luncheon
As part of Homecoming 2005, Centennial edition, a Blue and Gold Awards luncheon will be held to honour the many accomplishments of our alumni membership. We are soliciting your support and input by way of nomination of deserving individuals for several awards including: the Alumni Volunteer of the Year Award, the Young Alumni Achievement Award and our Distinguished Alumnus Award.

The Young Alumni Achievement Award
The Young Alumni Acheivement Award recognizes the outstanding achievements of NSAC alumni within ten years of receiving a degree/dipolma or within five years of receiving a graduate degree. Alumni are recognized for truly outstanding achievement that may have earned them regional, national or international prominence through service to humanity, in their profession and/or volunteer organizations, through community service, the advancement of knowledge and service to the NSAC.

Alumni Volunteer of the Year
The Volunteer of the Year Award honors a volunteer, who has consistently and enthusiastically donated of their time and talents to advancing the objectives of the university and/or the Alumni Association and with whose support has significantly enhanced the success of various programs.

Distinguished Alumnus Award
The Distinguished Alumnus Award is the NSAC’s most prestigious award, recognizing truly outstanding service and commitment to the NSAC , industry and the Alumni Association. Nominees must be eligible for membership in the NSAC Alumni Association and have distinguished themselves in their area of expertise, bringing honor to the university.

Nominees will have provided a positive role model for NSAC and agriculture and made a significant contribution to the industry through teaching, research, industry, extension, production or to society in general.

Please submit the name, address and phone number of your nominee to the Alumni Office, Box 550, Truro, N.S. B2N 5E3 no later than May 1, 2005. . Please attach a brief biographical sketch of the nominee clearly outlining the contributions which qualify him/her as a candidate for the Distinguished Alumnus Award.
